About Fayanne Riegalhaupt
I am a 1992 graduate of the Bancroft School of Massage Therapy in Worcester. I opened my first office in Wellesley and have been treating clients here for 25 years. Just out of school I started my business with training in Deep Tissue, Sports, and Swedish Massage.
Over the years I have been attracted to a number of other modalities and hold certificates in Neuro Muscular Therapy, Pregnancy Massage, and Aaron Mattes Active Isolated Stretching.
Six years ago I took a class with John Barnes, the leader in the development of Myofascial Therapy (MFR). Profoundly affected by my first class I quickly signed up for a week-long stay at John's clinic in Delaware. There the patients receive several hours a day of Myofascial Therapy. I had such a strong response to the work I received that I decided to pursue the training involved to become an expert level MFR therapist.
Over the next few years I took the 10 required courses to reach my goal. Included in my training was an internship at John's Sedona, Arizona clinic working alongside John and his team of experts. I have continued to repeat classes from time to time and always take away something new.
When people ask me what kind of massage I do, I answer "Fayanne's massage". I love MFR and believe in the benefits but I haven't left my other training behind. Everything I've learned about muscles, touch, and techniques gets incorporated into my work.
My clientele has ranged from high school athletes to marathon runners and triathletes, and from pregnant women to octogenarians. I love welcoming new clients to my practice and I've enjoyed knowing some of my clients for over 20 years.
